What I really want to say is…

Playing Office

September 14, 2005 · 2 Comments

Playing office was fun today. I had my own stapler that I used to staple pieces of paper together. I used my red pen to put checkmarks in boxes. I even printed a few things off the computer and did some serious data entry for good measure.

How wierd am I.

I used to play office when I was little and here I am. It’s like a dream come true apparently. I didn’t play doctor, cops and robbers, or even house when I was a child. And when Barbie came out with her own office set, (trash can, pink stapler, desk and inboxes included) it was on my Christmas wish list.

Ah the smell of freshly printed reports. The click click of busy fingers on the keyboards. The gentle hum of phones ringing in the background.

Hey, I’m an extreme optimist. If the cup is half full, sometimes I like to pretend it’s overflowing.
