Entries from January 2007
There once was a Dauschund whose name was Charlie. He didn’t know his name was Charlie, but it was just the same. He got left behind when his master moved away. For awhile he was in a pack with two other dogs but they didn’t really let him eat much. One day a truck stopped near Charlie while he was walking down the road with his pack. The door opened. It was so cold outside that Charlie couldn’t help himself. He jumped right in.
A nice girl named Robin watched him all day. She had heard her friend Mike say that he wanted a puppy. Even though she thought he would be very happy at her home with her three Dauschunds, she called Mike.
Mike and his wife, Natalie, picked up Charlie and took him home. They tried to figure out his name.
“Thor?”
“Stupidhead?”
“Puppy?”
“Charlie? Yeah, that’s it! Charlie!”
Charlie was happy in his new home. He got food, a bath, and more than enough cuddle time with his two new friends. But on the fourth day Mike had to go out of town for work, and Natalie had her longest day of school plus auditions in the evening.
Charlie was not happy at all. He panicked and tried to dig his way out of his cage. He hurt his little paws and he chewed his bed to pieces. He even swallowed some of it he was so upset. Natalie came home three different times during the day to walk him and give him water, but she could never stay long. At the end of the day when Natalie got home, it took almost 45 minutes for Charlie to calm down.
Mike and Natalie were sad. They already loved Charlie so much, but it hurt to see Charlie so upset and they knew that more days like that one were possible.
Mike and Natalie remembered how much Robin liked Charlie so they called her up. When Robin came to the house Charlie was happy to see her and jumped right in her car. That evening he met three new friends who looked very much like him. What a surprise! He lived happily ever after in his new home, with his new friends, and he was never alone again.

As promised, here are pictures of our home. I spent some time cleaning the other day and realized, “Omigosh! I need to take pictures of this!”
We also have a new addition to the family. But I’m not giving you any more information than that at the moment. Savor the pictures of my home. Imagine us sitting at the dining room table sipping tea/coffee/wine/water (whichever suits our relationship and the occasion best) and next time I will tell you the tale of Charlie…….

It’s official. I am now a bona fide student. Serious! I’m going to classes and everything!
In fact, I’m sitting in the computer lab right now where my next class will start in 15 minutes, so let us see how much typing I can get done in that time.
Yes, I have been taking pictures with my camera. No, I do not have inter net access yet and it doesn’t look like any of the companies will have inter net available for at least three months. I don’t know, if I can bring my camera to school and upload the pictures. I’ll try later this week. But if I get arrested, I am going to use my one phone call to tell you “I TOLD YOU SO!”
So I not only have my major, minor and second minor picked, but I have every single class picked out for every single semester for the rest of my academic career.
Do they have a name for that?
Control Freak? Obsessive Compulsive?
MAJOR: Multimedia Communications
MINOR: Theatre
MINOR: Writing
How me is that! It rocks it is SO me.
I really want to let you know that I have not abandoned this blog. Please don’t give up on me. Part of the problem that comes with not having inter net access readily available is……. not having inter net access readily available.
Let’s face it. It’s complicated my life beyond what is reasonable.
So while you read this, all comfy and cozy in your little home, with your little modem that connects you to the world…. think of me.
Think of me and weep for blogs not posted.
BUT HOPE!
Hope for the blogs that will be.
